KSHATOT program
Promoting collaborations with the manufacturing-oriented industry
The Kshatot program aims to establish and lead several sectoral ecosystems, each of which will be a magnet for stakeholders in that sector: companies, academia, government, regulation, investors, entrepreneurs, and more. Each ecosystem will be a vibrant home for a variety of activities, which will enable direct dialogue and ongoing cross-fertilization.
The program creates a WIN-WIN situation in which the Technion invests its resources to advance industry, the economy, and society in Israel. At the same time, industry expands the portfolio of activities and development horizons of the Technion (faculties, faculty, students, and alumni).
The program is a joint venture between the Technion and the Ministry of Economy.
Program sectors:
Activities in the various sectors
- Knowledge transfer – joint research and projects, provision of services, courses and joint teaching, conferences, workshops, tours and acthonies
- Entrepreneurship and commercialization – exposing technical technologies to companies, granting user licenses, establishing ventures and encouraging applied research
- Human capital development – ​​Lifelong Learning, exposure, experience for industry professionals and working with youth
- Career development for students – employing or interning students, practical experiences, spotlight days and job fairs and imparting essential skills
Technion industry leaders
We call on diverse internal Technion teams consisting of representatives from faculties, institutes, centers or laboratories to lead the activity in the relevant industry for them, with the guidance and support of the program.
We believe that positioning the activity leaders as the center of the industry ecosystem will bring multiple benefits related to research, services, technology commercialization, course content and even demand for studies in the field.
Support for the industry leaders will last two years and will include:
Funding of 660,000 NIS to maintain ongoing activities and launch future profitable activities
Guide and support of the program team
Link to key factors in the industry and assisting Technion units

Kshatot is the best program for creating collaborations with the Technion.
The program operates several vibrant ecosystems around various industries belonging to the manufacturing-oriented industry sector. In each industry, you can find all the relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the Technion, and start a dialogue and mutual fertilization.
A variety of activities take place in each industry. Such as: joint research and projects, providing laboratory services, courses and joint teaching, conferences, workshops, tours, hackathons, establishing ventures, encouraging applied research, developing human capital for industry professionals, students and youth, and more.
