March 4th, 2025: BITANIT Company Visits the Technion – Strengthening Ties with the Construction

The Technion hosted the management team of BITANIT, a company specializing in modular prefabricated construction.

BITANIT recently won a grant of 3 million NIS to establish a factory focused on producing advanced modular 3D concrete units. The grant was awarded by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Housing.

The visit, initiated by the Technion’s Industrial Relations Unit, was led by Prof. Rafael Sacks from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Prof. Aharon Sprecher from the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning.

During their tour, the guests explored Technion laboratories and research institutes, where they were introduced to groundbreaking research, demonstrations of unique measurement tools, and innovative construction techniques, particularly in the field of 3D printing.

The visit highlighted a shared interest in developing innovative construction methods, and both parties agreed to continue collaborating on potential joint research and projects in this field.

This visit is part of the ongoing efforts of the Industrial Relations Unit to strengthen ties with the manufacturing-oriented industry, including the construction and infrastructure sectors.
